Polls closed at 7 PM, marking the end of the runoff election to decide the Post 3 City Council Member after the two candidates tied in the general election on Tuesday, November 7.

The Election Staff reported that there were three (3) provisional ballots that will be decided by the County on Friday. However, with a margin of nineteen votes, the provisional ballots will not change the overall outcome of the race.

The three new City Council Members, Joshua Page (Post 1), Gary Pirkle (Post 2), and now Meg Avery (Post 3) will be officially sworn into office in January. Official details regarding the date and time of the ceremony to follow.
