City Not Getting High Marks for Envision 100 Pubic Outreach, Extends Deadline for Virtual Input Forum
The virtual comments period in conjunction with the first public hearing of Envision 100 that was supposed to end Friday, July 28, has now been extended to Wednesday, August 2.
As of this evening, a significant portion of the comments took issue with the City's outreach efforts so far, while the low number of responses overall provided powerful testimony to the accuracy of the criticism.
A few friends of the City's elected officials and high-ranking employees appeared on the forum to clap for the City like trained seals in an attempt to offset the criticism. (I've done this long enough to recognize those individuals by name. You can read through the comments and probably pick them out, too.)
The actual live public hearing, conducted at City Hall on July 17, only had six (6) attendees (not counting yours truly and Gary Pirkle and Andrew Schulz, who attend all the meetings).
